SKINTAG
By Nicky Baldrian

Out now on Frontiers is the new album from SKINTAG featuring famed singer/songwriter JIMMY LAWRENCE and members of Shotgun Symphony, I caught up with Jimmy for a brief interview....

1 Tell me about your history and the highs and lows of your career so far? Wow that's a broad question. My history is long and sorted.  Highs are the release of my solo cd and the Skin Tag cd...lows are everything in between....lol....., there isn't enough space on this email to even begin.
2 Is Skin Tag your proper band now and will you still go down the solo road
in the future?Yeah of course, I started out as a solo artist. I am working on matereial now and i am hoping for a solo release next summer. We shall see.,
3 How did you hook up with Charlie from Shotgun Symphony?Magnus at MTM suggested we get together. He came over my house, My dog bit him and we have been friends ever since...lol...we hit it off from the start.
4 What is it that you enjoy about collaborating with different musicians? Is
there anyone in the business you would like to write and/or perform with?I love collaborating with anyone that has a good idea. I get off on human intereaction. I like to write. I think it would be fun to write with Paul Stanley.
5 When you start piecing your songs together, do you go with the natural
flow of whats comes out or do you start looking for some form of
inspiration?I usually just go with the flow. I am not crafty enough as a song writer to try to alter or change it. I lose my place when i do that. I have always loved well crafted songs so hopefully that has rubbed  off on me. I have written some real train wrecks in my day though....
6 How long have you been signing for and who were your original inspirations
that made you wanna grab that mic?I have been singing since 3rd grade. My mom made me join the choir. I have 8 older brothers and sisters so music was always in my life. My dad was a trumpet player. I started singing rock after hearing Steve Walsh and Lou Gramm.....two of my all time favorites.
7 Do Skin Tag plan to go out on the road in support of the album? We would love to . It costs a lot of money. Know where we can get any tour support????
8 What are your current goals in life, both personal and musical? To be happy. If you ain't happy you ain't nothin'
9 There are thousands of artists trying to make it out there - what do you
think that you and Skin Tag have to offer that would make someone who hasnt
heard of your music buy it? and how would you describe the music to them?Luckily, in todays world you can pretty much sample anything before you buy it......if you like it ...support us...if not...that's  ok.......support us anyway. I would describe our music as.....cool rock and roll.
10 Do you have a favourite song from all the ones you have recorded and why?I really love under my skin and nothin' left but time
And also what is your favourite song of all time? "hot blooded" by foreigner...ask me again tomorrow and you will probably get a different answer...lol...
12 Whats in store for the future?Keep on rockin' another solo cd and then start the next skin tag...probably buy a new Harley V-rod too....
13 With you being so close to New York being in New Jersey I have to ask you
your feelings regarding the terrorist attacks on the world trade centre and
what should be done in the future to prevent all this from happening again?Peace Love and understanding...with that ...all of our troubles dissapear
14 Finally is there anything you would like to say to say to your fans out
there?Yeah, Thanks for your continued support and keep rockin'
